Regular disinfection is a legal requirement for many water storage and distribution systems. Watercare can provide water tank inspection, cleaning and disinfection in accordance with the requirements of HSE ACoP L8 (Legionella management and control) and British Standard BS 8558:2011.
It is important to ensure your water storage tanks are WRAS approved, maintained correctly and cleaned regularly — to prevent the growth of harmful pathogens such as Legionella and other bacteria, ensuring your water is safe, legal and compliant.
- Annual storage tank inspection, cleaning and disinfection
- New mains water supply pipeline disinfection and commissioning certificates
- Legionella risk assessments (L8 compliance)
- Chlorination of water supply networks prior to commissioning
- Post-repair disinfection and clearance testing
- Written certificate of disinfection issued on completion
- UKAS accredited analysis for confirmation
